Many visitors at the wooden boat show asked if a porta-potty would fit in the cabin. My answer was "almost".

A long drive back to Michigan with my business partner led to a long conversation about how we might fit a head in the cabin. There just wasn't enough room with four batteries up there. If we moved two of them a head would fit. That notion plus the observation that the boat would perform better in reverse if it were trimmed down by the stern a bit more led to the solution. Two batteries were relocated from the cabin to under the aft corners of the side seats. The batteries now occupy formerly wasted space and a Coleman portable toilet now fits in the cabin, which affords complete privacy.
